Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Committee Charge

Work in concert with the Division of Human Resources, the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, the HSC Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and other partners to identify specific goals, actions, and objectives that foster an inclusive and equitable campus climate for a diverse staff at UNM.

The Committee currently meets via zoom, on the second Friday of the month at 1:30 p.m. Please contact the committee chair for further details.

 Staff Council Affinity Groups 

Staff affinity groups help build social and professional networks that promote inclusion, mentorship, and success for staff, and aid in recruitment and retention of individuals from underrepresented groups. They contribute to a positive and supportive campus climate and work environment, and connections across campus and with local communities.  

UNM staff affinity groups feature voluntary membership, an informal structure, and are open to all staff, including branch campuses.  

To join an Affinity Group, subscribe to one of the list servs, following these instructions: 

  1. Email listserv@list.unm.edu
  2. Leave the Subject field blank.
  3. In the body of message type (with no other text): subscribe [affinity group]  Firstname Lastname
